After three months of intensive fieldwork and production during the 2024 Brandenburg state parliament elections, the first edition of the versos project is now complete. The series captures local politicians across Brandenburg in the act of hanging their own campaign posters — while exposing only the blank white reverse of the placards, reducing the political message to a form without content. This deliberate inversion recursively overlaps three dimensions: the natural person, their performative act of image‐making, and the emptied medium itself. The project makes no distinction between parties or ideologies, attending strictly to the labor and vulnerability of political self‐representation as such. The completed series — comprising 45 portraits across the state — constitutes a substantial visual archive of local democracy and campaign aesthetics at a specific historical moment.
